I haven't done a Magpie Tales lately, for one reason or another, but this week's great prompt reminded me of walking late at night along Edinburgh's cobbled streets, steadied by my husband's solid strength.
You right it's almost impossible to walk cobblestones in heels...
ReplyDeleteI've twisted my ankle a time or two. It's not just the grooves between the stones, it's the shape of them as well.
DeleteAgree you need flats to keep your balance..
ReplyDeleteOr a strong-armed husband... ;D
DeleteThat's why men like high heels... only way to give support we know of :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd whatever support we can get is much appreciated!! ;D
DeleteQuite charming; very well done.
ReplyDeleteThank you...
Deletelove this romantic haiku... :D
ReplyDeletePerfect excuse to get close when one is tottering across cobbles... ;D
DeleteGotta tip-toe...
ReplyDelete...barefoot...
DeleteEver so softly.
ReplyDeleteAnd carefully... ;D
DeleteA nice haiku ... Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Same to you...
DeleteCobblestone...so romantic.
ReplyDeleteTruly romantic. I love cobbles, it's just they're difficult to navigate...
DeleteIt's true, they weren't. Nice to have someone to lean on!
ReplyDeleteAlways nice to lean on someone when necessary... ;D
