It's not just the heart-shaped boxes filled with chocolate, red roses or pink tulips, the romantic dinners--though all of those have meaning if they come from the heart. This day is about love. One day set aside to appreciate love in all its forms and feelings, shapes and sizes. I wish every day had this awareness...
Hope you all are loved today, dear readers, and give it back just as much.
And to you, sweet friend. I've been terribly sick this past week and unable to blog. Look for a catch-up tomorrow ;-)
ReplyDeleteHey, I've been wondering where you've been...so sorry to hear it was illness rather than cocktails on a tropical isle...;D
DeleteFeel better...eat chocolate.
I hope you had an amazing Valentine's Day! I absolutely agree with you, this is not only a day for couples, it's a day to appreciate love in all its shapes and be grateful for it. I wish, too, that it was more appreciated every single day - what a difference it would make :)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Sunday!
I'm all about the love... ;D
DeleteAnd I, of course, think if anyone gets hoodwinked by said Hallmark holiday needs to be peeled, salted, driven around on spiked planks by near-catatonic mental patients, used as a jizz-catcher for baboons in heat, and hung in the town square. At best. Then again, on February fourteenth, if I do anything other make a VD reference, Sabina eyes me suspiciously, like I'm up to something. Curious.
ReplyDeleteBecause of course, we all know you are not in the slightest bit...hang on...wait for it...romantic..!!! And hey, Hallmark didn't invent love...just sayin'... ;D
DeleteI hope you enjoyed your Vday. :)
ReplyDeleteI did, thanks...hope you did too! ;D
