Brain Drain
I managed to straighten out the convoluted mess that my blog inexplicably morphed into at some point between last night and this morning. I still don't know what happened to skew the format--and it's not exactly right yet--but after much aggro and cursing, it's now functioning again. Mostly.
Then, after lunch and some chores, I spent the better part of the afternoon researching alternatives to Blogger. I'm undecided if I'm ready to jump ship and get a web site, or move to a new blog home. It's interesting how we put up with stuff sometimes, rather than just move on to an easier, better, more acceptable option. I guess it's a case of "...the devil you know."
Before I go to all the hassle and bother, I want to make sure I'm not dropping into a fat/fire situation. Earlier this afternoon, just when I'm ready to switch to WordPress, I read a scathing article on what a rip it is--as in it's not free once you get into the nitty gritty, and the alleged 24/7 help is non-existent. There are a couple other sites I want to delve into a bit deeper, but I'm done with this crap for now.
Since I'm calling it a day, surely that means a drink is in order, and hey, doesn't that look like a nice place there, just down the next street? Anything will be better than standing a minute longer at this intersection...
