Magpie Tales 181...Yes, You Can

painting by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec

Music heats the blood
Skirts fly in wild abandon
Breathtaking cancan

Magpie Tales 181...and a painting from one of my favorite artists.  I have always loved his Moulin Rouge posters, and his other colorful depictions of bohemian life in France.

  3. Olé indeed! Though that's a cry fit for a Spanish dance, not a French can-can, isn't it?! LOL

    1. I know, right? The dancer looks cancan French, but the main guy watching looks Spanish! Ah well, the dance was global after all...

  6. Haiku is an interesting choice to describe such a rhythmic dance, but you did it well!
