Eyes filled with lonely
My heart knew you at first glance
Rescued and so loved
Max came to mind for this week's Haiku Heights prompt. Two years ago, lost in the ice and snow of a bitter December, paws worn, thin and hungry, he was found by a policeman who took him to the local shelter. Two weeks later, he came home with me.
Oh my gosh - that is such a wonderful picture and haiku to go with it.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!
Deleteso sweet - what a lucky pup!
ReplyDeleteI really think I'm the lucky one...
DeleteAww... beautiful! I love dogs and haiku, therefore I adore this post :)
ReplyDeleteThank you... ;D
DeleteWhat a beautiful little dog and the epitome of being rescued.
ReplyDeleteTruly. Max is so grateful to have a home, it just warms my heart every single day...
DeleteWhat a good person to save Max...you should be cloned:)
ReplyDeleteIt was really a case of right place, right time...and love at first sight... ;D
DeleteAh, cute. All three of our dogs (and past dogs) are/were rescue dogs too. It takes us months to get some of our dogs to learn to trust. It is very gratifying to earn trust and affection from these dogs.
ReplyDeletecute pic!
After two years, Max still has some fear issues of sudden noises, he won't walk on the kitchen floor, and runs away when I load the dishwasher, but he's improved so much and is such a sweet wee boy, I have hope he'll eventually realize he's safe now.
DeleteSo, so sweet... Our cat came from a shelter.
ReplyDeleteHeartwarming too. :-)
