Invincible in her beauty and youth
She has caused such a ripple
With that flash of taut nipple
Too soon to know gravity’s truth
I love the image for this week's Magpie Tales prompt. It's ethereal and mysterious...and just about impossible to ignore the focal point--and no, I don't mean her face, (though she's lovely).
Cautionary tale in poetry form! Wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThank you...though I might have been just a wee bit jealous when I wrote this. ;D
DeleteAh, the invincibility of youth...
ReplyDeleteHow well I remember...
DeleteOh and gravity's truth can be so cruel! Great writing Terlee! :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteSmall consolation: gravity gets us all...eventually.
Oh, now that's not nice. Gravity has no respect! :-)
ReplyDeleteMaybe not nice, but true. ;D
DeleteTo soon to know gravity's truth, and truth's gravity...
ReplyDeleteGood one...
DeleteSo true, gravity will have its way.
ReplyDeleteThe older I get, the more I wish I'd spent time standing on my head... ;D
DeleteOh so true - gravity wins over all.
ReplyDeleteAnna :o]
Totally, no exceptions, though as I said above: small consolation.
