Sure, I'll Have A Bud...

Each year I can hardly wait to see the best commercials that play during the Super Bowl.  I could care less about the game, but the day after I always watch the Top Ten ads.  There were a few good ones this year, some were pretty funny, but this one--the video of a man raising a Clydesdale colt for Budweiser--killed me.  Totally. Killed. Me.  I was tearing up halfway through and reaching for the Kleenex box by the end.

This is the best commerical ever.  The scenery, the music, the story...

Right?

Now, sorry, but I've gotta go.  I really need to blow my nose again...

N.B.  I just read this evening that the little colt pictured in this video has been named Hope.  Just so perfect....

  1. That was exceedingly sweet. Of course, growing up on a farm, I was on a horse's back for the first time when I was six months old. Sometimes, I still wish I had one.

However, I'd still not have a Budweiser...even if you put a gun to my head and threatened to pull the trigger.

    1. My grandparents had a ranch when I was a kid, so I grew up around horses, too. Probably why I love this commercial so much. Honestly, that colt....**hitch in my breathing**

Truthfully, when I drink beer, it's Dos Equis or Corona, though I'm not a great beer drinker in the first place.

  2. Lol--good grief, we all need to get together, are there more kindred souls out there? I miss my horse so badly, she was a huge barrel racer (had to be huge as I was six feet tall at eleven) which meant she was knee controled, no bridal needed. *sigh* Hours in woods, my best friend in a very lonely world.

*ahem* 100% agree on that commercial, and if it must be beer, I'm a Guiness girl. Kisses to you both...

    1. Palomino, no saddle, high desert; heaven to the tall skinny kid I used to be.

So, we'll bond over horses, not beer. Works for me... ;D

  3. Not feeling well?

The flu is ripping Minneapolis up, and that's no lie.

    Love those horses. :-)

    1. Nope, I feel fine. I needed to blow the nose because every time I see this vid, I tear up!

I'm slightly obsessive about washing my hands, plus for the first time in my life, I actually got a flu shot this year. So far, so good on staying healthy...
